THE FIRST LADY

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall walk and not be weary; that shall run and not faint.” Isa 40:31ESV

I will spend my life praising God for His faithfulness which is forever steadfast; for I can testify “…Ebenezer…till now the Lord has helped [me].” 1Sam 7:12  - Marilyn Delinois

Sister Marilyn Delinois

Sister Delinois accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the young age of 10. She grew up in the church and actively participated in numerous church departments where she developed spiritually and acquired leadership skills.

In 1976 while living in New York Sister Delinois and her husband, Reverend Delinois, felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to relocate to South Florida to minister to the Haitian community. Together they helped plant churches in Ft Lauderdale, Delray Beach and Deerfield Beach.

The Haitian Evangelical Baptist Church (HEBC) was founded in 1981and Sister Delinois has been serving the members of HEBC alongside her husband since that time.

Through God’s grace and faithfulness and the leading of the Holy Spirit, Sister Delinois, together with her husband built the 800-seat church sanctuary and educational building the church now occupies.

In 2014 Sister Delinois obtained a Master’s degree in Bible and Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary. She has a passion for the Bible, and for Christian Theology. Sister Delinois is gifted with unique insight in exegetical examination of the Bible. She is a Bible teacher, trainer, and lecturer. She has been called to lecture and be keynote speaker in a number of church events throughout the United States in the area of women’s ministry, discipleship and Sunday School.

Sister Delinois teaches Bible study in a manner that goes beyond the surface meaning of Bible passages and looks at the metaphors (poetry) and typological aspects of scripture, which she feels is imperative in bringing forth the Christocentric message of the entire Bible.

Sister Delinois and her husband have four adult age children Nathan, Tania, Sabine and Pierre Jr, son-in-law Vicly, daughter-in-law Stefanie and six beautiful grandchildren Baylen, Amelie, Blake, Noelle, Braxton and Leonie.

Sister Delinois enjoys reading (non-fiction), gardening, old world history, history of Ancient Egypt and its artifacts, architecture and classical music.
